Holy cow. I was going along and then I had the breath knocked out of me when I realized I've been to that IHOP in Colorado Springs. On that intersection. Not to mention that I've been in the exact position she describes in the poem. Trying to find faith or truth or whatever meaning there is in life.

Thanks for this write up.

Thank you, Flint. This poem moved into my being and this post is ‘chef’s kiss’. The local art, the imperfect art and artists and writers, especially my fellow neurospicy and neurodivergent and queer ones, mean the world to me. My people. 🫀

I heard this poem last night at a reading. Then I went home and watched Sinner with some friends. They pair well.

I noticed that the ICE agents who shoot citizens on the street are shooting at women. And they shoot to kill. These deaths should never have happened. Why are so many people blasé about it.🌹

*soft exhale with the half breath I can manage* thank you.

Reading about that poem by Renee Nicole Good was like stepping barefoot into a dream at dawn. The way Flint Del Sol unfolds her words makes the whole thing feel alive right now, like a breeze curling around your ankles instead of something frozen in time

Thank you for walking me through the process of how only love can win in the end. They can kill us but they can’t erase love and humanity and soul even when we question their existence in ourselves.
