Excellent. I also very much appreciated "He was the bravest man I ever knew." Not a throwaway line I think.

This was great! To be honest, The Odyssey is not my kind of movie so it's nice to hear others experiences/interpretations.

It's interesting that you point this out though:

I agree that the trans community will remember these fickle politicians. But just like Odysseus found out, hurting others affects you as an individual too. The price that Democrats pays for abandoning the trans community includes the hollowing out of their own values and identity as a party, just as much as it loses them votes and respect of the trans community.
